Burning River Anti-Fracking Network
Can this group include Geauga County? We just got our first frack well and the pressure is on here to sign a lease.

I don’t see why not.

I would contact Ben Shapiro at bensshapiro@gmail.com or 804 543 4346 for more information on the group.

I  created this page in August, but I’m not sure how much use it gets, although I know the group is still meeting. I would also recommend keeping an eye on Kent and Youngstown, where they are actively organizing against fracking.

If you want you can call me for more info on fracking, contacts, and who to get in touch with.

My contact info is GrahamC@my.hiram.edu, but you can also reach me at 216 392 8274.

I’m currently in Arizona working with California Condors, but in December I came home to Hudson, and saw the well in Parkman. It is absolutely sad and disturbing.  I hope you are not being pressured to sign a lease, and please, call me if you have any questions or would like more info. I know how hard it can be to find out info, and it is a steep learning curve, but hopefully I might be able to answer some questions or concerns.

Take Care,

Clay

Goals of BRAN

A group (Burning River Anti-Fracking Network) has already formed concerning hydraulic fracturing in Cuyahoga County, and we have devised a list of goals. These goals include:

1. Educate the public about the dangers associated with “fracking”

2. Enact local bans against horizontal hydro-fracking in Cuyahoga County

If you would like to get involved with this group please email GrahamC at my.hiram.edu
